Nashville is a city in Tennessee, about a 4 hour drive from Atlanta. I visited there in November last year with my friends when there were nice and sunny days and a little bit cold. I didn’t have to wear a thick jacket, though. The first tourist place that I went to in Nashville was Madame Tussauds Nashville. This is the museum where a lot of celebrity life-size wax dolls wait for you to come. Nashville is known as music town, so the theme of the museum is musicians. You can find musicians of a wide range of ages such as Taylor Swift, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Randy Travis and Johnny Cash. It reproduces the performances on the stage, the performances on the bar, and the recordings. You can take pictures of yourself singing or playing an instrument with celebrities. (see left picture)
We moved to Downtown Broadway at dusk. The street was full of people and music, and I saw bands playing various genres while walking. It took around 2 hours to walk around the whole main street. You can find many stores selling Nashville goods, vehicles that people are pedaling with drinking, and carriages etc. We entered a bar where a band played just in front of us. The songs they played were songs that I often listened in car radio.

Thanks a lot for the information about Nashville. I’ve once been there last Christmas with my son to visit Vanderbilt Uni., but we didn’t have time to look around it. The jazz musician photo reminds me of a small jazz bar in New Orleans where I had some beer with my friends a couple of years ago. This post is a good suggestion for me because I am looking for somewhere not so far from Atlanta to go with my son during the 4th of July holidays.

Nashville has changed so much. It used to be centered on country music, but I’m glad that it’s embraced so many other genres of music. That makes it a more diverse city.

I believe that one of the better ways to understand a culture is through of the music, and America has had a lot of musical history that has been influenced for many cultures from worldwide. I think that music is intrinsic in the English phonetics.
