This I Believe

My belief is “Notice through music.” It is the opinion from the view point of musical instrument players. Playing music can have a big impact on our thoughts or how to deal with issues that we have. In other words, we can get to learn how to realize accomplishment through music.

When I was 7 years-old, I started playing the Electone, which is like a piano. And when I was 20, I bought a classical guitar. A few years later, I’ve gotten electric guitars, accoustic guitars and a electric bass. These are what I have played so far. I have enjoyed music in orchestra or band style.

“Notice through music” comes to me when I practice instrumentals by myself. Some phrases require me to repeat practices again and again until I learn how to play. How difficult they are comes from how fast the tempo is, how technical the finger movements are, or how sensitive the phrases are. I learned something important through practices. The thing is that training repeatedly is going to bring me success! Even if I didn’t have confidence to play well at the beginning of or before practices, I am going to be able to do it after repeated training. The reason why training by myself is so important is that I can listen to and focus on my sound. During training, I can realize what I need to do or what is the reason why I can’t, or what I can do now. Making sure of my current position is one of critical steps in order to reach my goals. Eventually I will become a person who can play well. And this step can be applied to other situations that I have faced. I have a lot of things that I cannot do, but I’m sure that after repeated practice, it is going to be getting better.
